Today money is created by a small circle of institutions and loaned into existence. Everyone else works for it. Bruce's position is simple: the power to mint money belongs with the people and with a representative government that answers to them, not with central banks and the corporations that feed on them.

Bitcoin proved that money can be issued by rules instead of by committees. Bruce built on that proof. GlobalBoost, the proof of work blockchain he developed, has been mined and traded since 2014. Boostr gives people private calls and video calls. The GlobalBoost networking app gives conferences their own meeting rooms, matchmaking and AI networking engine. Each tool moves a piece of power back toward the person using it.

He believes we are at a hinge point in history. If the people do not take back control of money creation, and through it their government, our children will live the lives of servants, and the generations after them may never be born at all.

Proof of work blockchain, running since 2014

One of the longest surviving proof of work blockchains still actively mined and traded. A Bitcoin fork secured by the Yescrypt algorithm with a fixed supply, running without interruption for more than a decade. Bruce developed GlobalBoost as a tool to preserve history in a way that can never be altered. Once a record is written to the chain, nobody can edit it after the fact.

Nearly twenty years of summits, galas and the people who move capital

Washington Elite began as a room where founders, investors, diplomats and policymakers could meet without a corporate sponsor setting the agenda. It grew into the Washington Elite Investment Summit and Gala, the Inaugural Ball, and evenings at the Harvard Club in New York. Through the years it has drawn roughly five hundred people a year who want to talk about crypto, art and capital as forces for good.

Formerly UN Blockchain Week, this is the week Bruce and David bring the blockchain world to Times Square while the diplomats are in town. It is an independent event, timed with the General Assembly rather than part of it. The week opens with the Orbital Runway, runs a two day flagship conference, closes the second day with BitcoinPalooza and ends with the Washington Elite Investment Summit and Gala. Speakers have included the President of Liberland, Brock Pierce, Lou Kerner and Karla Ballard, with the event's creative running on the Hard Rock marquee above the square.

EmmeGirls is the agency Bruce runs with his wife Emme Porter, who leads it as CEO while Bruce serves as COO. Headquartered on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, it supplies trade show models, spokesmodels and brand ambassadors to companies and conferences across the country, and it is the staffing engine behind the street teams at Bruce's own events.

A country founded on the idea that people should be free to keep what they earn needs a voice in the city that prints the money.

The Free Republic of Liberland was proclaimed in 2015 on a stretch of unclaimed land along the Danube, with voluntary taxation and personal liberty written into its founding principles. Bruce represents Liberland in Washington, DC. He spoke at the ten year anniversary celebration in 2025, hosts the official Liberland Meetup evening during Blockchain Week - UNGA Edition, and was part of the delegation that awarded Dr. Ron Paul Liberland's Medal of Merit.

For Bruce, Liberland is the political side of the same argument he makes with code. A blockchain lets people opt into money that no one can inflate. Liberland lets people opt into a government that cannot take what they have earned without asking. Honest diplomacy, in his words, is the only kind worth practicing. Anything else is subserviency.

Faith and family

Bruce is a Catholic man leading his family to follow Jesus Christ. He and Emme have been married for seventeen years and are raising two daughters in the Church. The convictions he brings to money and government start at home: own what is yours, protect what is private, and answer to something higher than a corporation.

Off the stage

He learned how the world really works behind the curtain from his father, Bruce Porter Sr., and he still walks Old Town Alexandria with him. He golfs whenever his brother David can be talked into a round. And he has spent years in adaptive sports, helping start blind hockey teams around the country and teaching athletes with disabilities to skate and play. Today he coaches skating and hockey through the Washington Elite Skating School.
